Lewistown Community encouraged to donate blood
Lewistown, PA (Nov 17, 2016) — A blood drive is being held in honor of Alex Pierce, a high school senior at Belleville Mennonite School, on January 12, 2017. This special drive will be held at Ellen Chapel Church, Lewistown, PA.
Alex is an avid hunter and an active member of the 4H, who is battling cancer. As part of his treatment, Alex receives platelets and red blood cells. Alex and his family, who attend Ellen Chapel Church, invite anyone in the community who is able to do so, to donate blood to help patients like Alex. The Pierce family thanks all those who faithfully donate blood on a regular basis and any new first-time donors.
