The Class of 2026
Boaz Strong is a student at Grace College in Indiana. Boaz grew up in Chelsea, Michigan, with sports being a vital part in his life in middle and high school. He loves being active and outdoors, which is something he thinks everyone should prioritize. Boaz’s Mom is a nurse, and has taught him many things about medicine and taking care of your body, which he is very grateful for. Through his faith and trust in God, Boaz hopes to serve others with is actions and deeds. He is very thankful for this opportunity, and hopes to make a difference on his own college campus and local community.
Joshua Marr is a 19-year-old business administration student living in Rochester, New York. He is currently a sophomore at Houghton University, where he is developing strong skills in leadership, communication, and organizational management. In addition to his academic pursuits, Joshua is a dedicated soccer athlete, balancing his commitment to the sport with his passion for learning. He is motivated by opportunities to grow and contribute positively to the people around him. Joshua looks forward to applying his education and experiences toward building a meaningful career in the business field and continuing to make an impact in his community.
Maxwell Wisnoff graduated from Bakersfield Christian High School as valedictorian and is a freshman at the University of Saint Mary. Max is majoring in biomedical sciences as a part of the 3+4 program, intending to apply for early admission to medical school at Kansas City University.
Aubrey Griffin is a sophomore at Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana, majoring in chemistry on the pre-medicine pathway and minoring in both ministry and global studies. Her subsequent goal is to attend medical school and become a physician-scientist. At Marian, Aubrey serves as vice president of both the chemistry and Best Buddies clubs, while competing on the Model United Nations travel team and serving as an ambassador for the St. Luke’s healthcare scholarship program, in addition to conducting analytical pharmaceutical research under Dr. Patrick McVey and serving as a hospice volunteer through Transitions Hospice. Through the Red Cross Collegiate Leadership program, Aubrey hopes to further develop her leadership and communication skills in order to serve her community, both local and global, including raising awareness about public health concerns through education and pursuing international medical volunteer opportunities through the Red Cross disaster response team and as a traveling physician through Doctors Without Borders.
Emily Miller graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 2025 where she conducted her own independent research regarding the stigma surrounding mental health in Latino Communities and how it correlates with civic engagement. Currently, she attends Albright College, majoring in Psychology on the Pre-Law track with two minors in Spanish and Legal Studies. She hopes to attend law school post-grad and eventually work in either the government or a non-profit. She is known for her energetic, indefatigable, and personable personality.
Avery Collins is from Blissfield, MI. She is a sophomore at Indiana Tech University studying Health Sciences. Aside from her studies, she is a member of the Women's Basketball Team as well as serves on the Student Athlete Leadership Team. After Avery graduates from Indiana Tech she plans to continue her education to receive her MSN degree and pursue a career as a nurse to eventually becoming a nurse practitioner. Avery thrives in leadership roles and is always looking for new ways to help the people around her. Avery is willing to do anything and put the work in to make the biggest impact on people and spaces she encounters. She's excited to bring her commitment and experiences to be apart of the Red Cross Organization.
Elijah Stewart is a student nurse and community leader from Beckley, West Virginia dedicated to advancing public health, safety, and service. He is currently a sophomore college student pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a Minor in Business Administration at West Virginia University Institute of Technology, where he serves as a Class Representative in the Student Nurses Association, fostering engagement, leadership, and service among his peers and future healthcare professionals.
Elijah is a Nurse Extern at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston WV, working on a Cardiopulmonary Intensive Care Unit. In addition, he has worked for several years as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the YMCA of Southern West Virginia, where he supports his community through water safety, instruction, and training. In his free time, Elijah enjoys riding horses and rodeo, playing guitar, and spending time doing various hobbies and activities outdoors.
Beyond his professional and academic commitments, Elijah is actively involved in service at Christ the King Anglican Church. He is also a Leader for YoungLife. Passionate, hardworking, and purpose-driven, he strives to positively influence the world around him by pursuing what is good, true, and beautiful, to the glory of God.
Riley Treece is originally from Valparaiso, Indiana, and is currently a sophomore pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Northwestern Ohio. Riley is also a member of the university’s volleyball team and actively involved in the Student-Athlete Leadership Team. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in real estate. Outside of her academics and athletics, Riley enjoys dog sitting, spending time with friends and family, and staying active.
Megan Stewart is from Evansville, Indiana, and is currently in her Junior year at Oakland City University, where she is pursuing a degree in Biology with a focus on Pre-Med. As a dedicated student-athlete, Megan excels in softball, demonstrating the same commitment and teamwork on the field that she brings to her academic pursuits. With a deep passion for the outdoors, Megan enjoys spending her free time exploring nature. Her drive and enthusiasm are instrumental in her goal of building a career in the medical field, where she aspires to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
Olivia Minnich attends the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is studying Biology and intends on applying to medical school when she finishes her undergraduate studies. Olivia loves the faithful and passionate community of learners that she has been welcomed into at her university. Some of Olivia’s responsibilities outside of school include working at a regional hospital and volunteering with hospice. When she’s not busy with work and school, she loves spending time outside, going to local parks and golfing in the summer are some of her favorite activities. Olivia is looking forward to traveling this summer, including leaving the country for the first time! Although, hanging out with her friends and family is always her favorite way to spend my time!
Dorrel Myers is a first-generation college student from Jamaica majoring in Biology at Voorhees University and a rising sophomore. He serves as Sophomore Class President and President-Elect of the Voorhees Pre-Alumni Council, and previously held the role of Freshman Class Vice President.A Lupus Awareness Ambassador, Dorrel Myers is an active campus leader who advocates for wellness awareness, service, fundraising, spiritual growth, and student engagement. He has built meaningful relationships across campus and continues to make a positive impact within the university community. Dorrel enjoys line dancing, singing, reading research papers, and watching movies in his personal time. He strives to embody and promote Voorhees University’s mantra, “The Next Level of Excellence,” as he forges a path forward in leadership and service.
Alessia Passoni attends the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Alessia is studying Health and Exercise Science and aspires to become a pediatric physical therapist. She is passionate about serving others and enjoys volunteering and giving back to her community. Alessia currently works as an Adaptive sports instructor at the Jorgensen YMCA, where she coaches children with disabilities. Outside of school, she enjoys exercising, going on walks, spending time outdoors in God’s creation, as well as with family and friends! She is excited to serve as part of the Red Cross team!
Sara Haber-Lopez is from Bakersfield, California, and is currently a sophomore at Benedictine College in Kansas. She is majoring in psychology with a minor in entrepreneurship, and she is also taking pre-health classes to prepare for graduate school. In her spare time, you’ll find Sara reading, exploring new coffee shops, travelling, hiking, volunteering, bonding with family and friends, or chatting with professors. Sara is always seeking new opportunities to grow in faith, virtue, and leadership, which have fueled her passion for serving others and changing lives, leading her to the Red Cross and shaping her future career goals. After earning her bachelor's degree, Sara plans to pursue a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
Hannah Neyhart is a freshman in nursing at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana where she is involved in Carpenter’s Hands Ministry and women’s rugby. Hannah graduated from Faith Christian School where she learned to love God and others above all else, which has shaped the way she approaches every aspect of her life. Hannah has grown up around many compassionate nurses, who inspired her to pursue a nursing career driven by love and dedication to serving others. Through every hardship and different seasons of life, she has always had the support of her family. Hannah has two amazing parents, a hardworking older brother, and an energetic little sister. She looks forward to contributing to the healthcare field and can’t wait to see what opportunities lie ahead!
Jade Chauza graduated from Norris High School in Firth, Nebraska, in 2024 and is currently a sophomore Nursing major at Morningside University. Jade enjoys volunteering throughout the Siouxland community and is dedicated to helping those in need. In addition to being a student, Jade serves as a Resident Assistant, Statistics tutor, peer mentor, and secretary for the Morningside Student Nurse Association. After graduation, Jade plans to continue her education with the goal of becoming a nurse practitioner.
Ziona Christy is a sophomore at Oregon Health & Science University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Originally from Southern Oregon, she is passionate about healthcare, service, and empowering others. Alongside her studies, she works as an EMT on 911-response ambulances and serves as an adult advisor for the Mercy Flights Explorer Post 131, where she has contributed more than 5,700 hours of community service. In her free time, Ziona enjoys spending time with friends and family and aspires to become an emergency or critical care nurse.
