The Class of 2025
Carisa Liebenberg is an international student-athlete at Lewis Clark State College. Carisa is currently majoring in Anthropology and minoring in Archaeology, and finds herself constantly curious about different cultures, languages, religions and history. Carisa is at her happiest when she is curled up with a good book near a fireplace, connecting outside with nature, playing tennis and spending time with her family. She is always interested in learning more about the world and how to improve the lives of those who live in it, even if she may add some bad jokes along the way to make the road brighter.
Lily Baalman is from Adrian, MI. Lily is currently attending Great Lakes Christian College in Lansing, MI. Her major is Early Childhood Education, when she graduates, she hopes to become a third grade teacher. As well as a student, Lily also is part of the Women's soccer team and a Resident Assistant.
Payton Tull graduated from Garden City High School in Garden City, Kansas, in 2023 and is currently a sophomore nursing major at Midland University. She is passionate about promoting health and wellness in everyday life and strives to make a positive impact on others. In addition to her studies, Payton is an active member of the Midland University collegiate swim team and serves as a supplemental instructor for Anatomy and Physiology. After earning her nursing degree, she plans to gain experience in a hospital setting before pursuing a doctorate in nursing to further her education and career.
Ellie Denny is a sophomore at Carroll College studying Business Management & Marketing. Ellie is on the Women's Basketball team and serves on the Saint's Athletic Advisory Committee. Ellie aspires to be the best leader and ambassador she can possibly be and make a positive impact on those around her in any way she can. Ellie is willing and able to put in the work to serve her peers, community, and country. The Red Cross is an outstanding organization, and she extremely excited to work, serve, and save lives!
Lexi Ashby is a passionate and outgoing Nashville native who brings energy and enthusiasm to everything she does. A dedicated student at Cumberland University, Lexi thrives in leadership roles, whether it’s as a co-leader for the Girl Scouts or a volunteer with the Best Buddies organization. When she’s not busy empowering others, you can find her hiking in nature, exploring new trails, and giving back to her community. With a heart for service and a vibrant spirit, Lexi is always eager to connect with people, make a positive impact, and create memorable experiences. She’s excited to bring her energy, creativity, and commitment to the Red Cross team!
Trevon Hess currently attends Indiana University Kokomo, majoring in Business Marketing. Alongside his studies, he is a track and Field athlete, where he works hard to excel both individually and as a team. Trevon has a deep passion for business and marketing, and is constantly exploring new strategies that shape the industries. Outside of academics and athletics, he loves fishing and nature. Trevon’s combination of discipline and interests has helped him maintain a strong work ethic and an open and strategic mindset that he tries to bring with everything he does.
Elisha Thompkins is a sophomore on the swim team at Malone University. He is from Houston Texas and through this program he hopes to gain more training and experience to be a better leader so he can better care for and guide people around him.
Luke Bernatow is a sophomore nursing student at Mount Marty University in his hometown of Yankton, South Dakota. Luke currently works as a CNA at a local nursing home and has an interest in advocating for Native American and rural health in South Dakota and surrounding areas. In his free time, he likes to run the trail along the Missouri river, help out at athletic events, and spend time with friends and family. Luke is excited to utilize this opportunity to make a difference in his community.
Jacy Knox is from a small town in Southern Illinois and currently attends school at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis, Missouri. Jacy plans on first getting her Bachelor's in Pharmaceutical Sciences and then her Doctorate in Pharmacy. Jacy looks forward to working as a Clinical Pharmacist, after attending a specialized Residency Program! She currently is the Vice President for her class as well as Class Liaison. Additionally, she plays softball at UHSP as a utility player!
Sophia Dizon is a freshman at Menlo College, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Accounting. Driven by a passion for leadership and community service, she is excited to apply her skills in communication, project management, and critical thinking to her involvement with the Red Cross. Sophia aims to create engaging campaigns that encourage her fellow students to participate in blood drives and health initiatives, ensuring the success and sustainability of these community efforts. Her goal aligns perfectly with Menlo College's emphasis on preparing students for meaningful contributions to the world.
Ecaterina Hines is passionate about connecting with others, and loves meeting new people and traveling. She is known for her kindness and approachable skills, she strives to ensure that everyone she mets feels valued and heard. Additionally, Ecaterina is deeply informed about mental health and committed to breaking the stigma surrounding it through compassion and understanding.
Aditi Mangal’s life is built on the pillars of leadership, learning, and service - all three of which she is particularly passionate about. She’s recently completed six years of involvement and hopes to continue to be committed to the Red Cross for life. She was born and raised in the suburbs of Pennsylvania, and currently attends Drexel University, studying biology. Her love for service has allowed her to greatly contribute to her Montgomery, Chester, and Philadelphia communities, but she continues to expand upon that to the national scale. She hopes to continue to build her legacy through the Red Cross, continuing to enrich the experience of high school and college students interested in the Red Cross and by remaining involved with direct acts of service (serving in blood drives, disaster displacement shelters, and working with International Humanitarian Law).
