Super Bowl Giveaway Winner

As part of the American Red Cross’ partnership with the NFL, Susan Steiner was the lucky winner of the 2022 Super Bowl LVI Giveaway. “Winning the trip to the Super Bowl was a shock,” Steiner said. She could hardly believe she’d won at first, but then she remembered that all donors in January 2022 were automatically entered into the giveaway.

Steiner, who lives in Connecticut, answered the call for blood donors during the first-ever Red Cross emergency blood crisis last January. Steiner says she donates blood as often as she can, especially since she knows how valuable her type O negative blood is as a universal donor. Little did she know that, as thanks for her lifesaving donation, she’d soon be on her way to Los Angeles, California, for the sports-lover's trip of a lifetime.

“The stadium was beautiful, the weather was a perfect break from a cold Connecticut winter and we had the opportunity to explore the area a bit,” Steiner said. Sounds like the perfect getaway for the true football fan.
