WHO: American Red Cross representatives, Saint Thomas Health representative, Tennessee Titans representative, Nashville Metro Police Department, Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, Nashville Fire department representatives and a blood and organ transplant recipient.

WHEN: Wednesday, July 11, from 10 to 11 a.m.*

*Please try to arrive 15-30 minutes in advance to allot time to enter stadium security check points. To ensure safety, stadium security personnel will check for prohibited items being carried inside the stadium.

WHY: As one of the largest-sponsored blood drives in Middle Tennessee, The American Red Cross, Saint Thomas Health, The Tennessee Titans, 104.5 The Zone, and the Nashville Metro Police Department, Davidson County Sheriff’s Office and Nashville Fire Department are teaming up for the Music City Battle of the Badges blood drive, presented by Saint Thomas Health Monday, July 16, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Nissan Stadium. At the news conference, Metro Police, Sheriff and Fire Departments will go head-to-head in friendly, competitive banter as they gear up to encourage donors to help give the gift of life to hospital patients, while giving in honor of their favorite badge— sheriff, police or fire.
