WHY: As one of the largest-sponsored blood drives in Middle Tennessee, The American Red Cross, Saint Thomas Health, The Tennessee Titans, 104.5 The Zone, and the Nashville Metro Police Department, Davidson County Sheriff’s Office and Nashville Fire Department are teaming up for the Music City Battle of the Badges blood drive, presented by Saint Thomas Health Monday, July 16, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Nissan Stadium. At the news conference, Metro Police, Sheriff and Fire Departments will go head-to-head in friendly, competitive banter as they gear up to encourage donors to help give the gift of life to hospital patients, while giving in honor of their favorite badge— sheriff, police or fire.
