At 16 years old, Jupiter Brady-McCullough gave their very first blood donation when an American Red Cross blood drive was held at their school. Despite some first-time jitters, Jupiter deemed the appointment a success, thanks to a “pretty decent” snack spread and the fact that they were able to skip a class, but it was the information they received after the appointment that encouraged them to continue donating.
Jupiter found out that their blood type is A positive and in high demand by hospitals nationwide. They quickly gave their second and third donations, even encouraging their best friend, Eva, to join them for their last appointment.
