Located in Upstate New York, the Everett Road American Red Cross Blood, Platelet and Plasma Donation Center, located just off I-90, is an important part of the local Albany community. While the city of Albany is known for its beautiful parks and fun year-round activities, the Albany donation center is known for its welcoming staff and generous donors.
Allison Brown is the team supervisor at the Everett Road Donation Center. She was born in NYC and grew up in the Capitol district, in a town called Niskayuna. The definition of a local, Allison has only positive things to say about working with the Red Cross.
“Felicia Kuhn is one of those staff members that goes above and beyond to make sure we have the supplies we need to do our job,” says Allison. “She does all the ordering to keep our operation going seven days week, 365 days a year.”
Allison also says that the donors have become like family. “We have so many wonderful, kind donors at this site. It's the best job ever!”
