The American Red Cross is partnering with Delta Sigma Theta and Omega Psi Phi for a blood drive on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 3301 Statesville Road in Charlotte.
Blood recipients are more likely to find compatible blood for transfusion from donors of the same ethnic background. The Dr. Charles Drew Community Blood Drive strives to educate the community on the importance of African American blood donation.
