In 2018, the American Red Cross and the National C.O.P.S. partnered in an effort to support the nation’s blood supply by encouraging their members to host blood drives and donate blood. National Blue Blood Drives takes place during the month of January, with many drives occurring on or around January 9th, to coincide with Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (LEAD). January is typically a difficult month for the Red Cross, with fewer blood drives being held in communities. This is a great opportunity for the C.O.P.S. family and the law enforcement community to join forces to support the blood supply.
As a blood program leader, you will take leadership; work with many groups or people across yourorganization; bring people together in a spirit of teamwork to make your event successful; andpromote a cause that could help save millions of lives each year.
Let's take the LEAD and help to save lives in honor of those who would lay down their lives for us.
