- Our program participants embrace a mission to help those who suffer from sickle cell disease and other blood transfusion needs. Sickle cell disease affects almost all ethnicities; primarily affecting people with ancestors from Africa, India, Central and South America, the Middle East, the Caribbean and Mediterranean.
