  • You are an important member of the Red Cross Trauma Team. Come donate your type O negative blood as often as possible and know that you are making a difference for patients in the most serious of situations. Donating blood is a big commitment and you deserve recognition for making it a priority.
  • Give blood two or more times in 2019 and receive one of the following rewards:

How it works:

We will track your 2019 donations and send you updates throughout the year. Power Red donations will count as two donations. In January 2020, you'll receive communication with instructions on how to claim your gift. Be sure your email address is correct in your redcrossblood.org profile.*

  • When a patient shows up with minutes to live and there is no time to determine blood type, emergency personnel reach for your type O negative blood!
  • There is no way to predict when or where an accident will happen – which makes having O negative blood available at all times so critical.
  • Your blood type is always in high demand. With less than 7% of the U.S. population having O negative blood, hospitals depend on frequent blood donations from donors like you.

The total number of donations will be based on attempted blood donations between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019. Power Red donations will count as 2 donations. Donors who receive this invitation and meet the criteria will receive an email with instructions on how to redeem their recognition gift in January 2020. Email addresses are required in order to receive gift redemption information. Prizes are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.
