Alternatively, you can wait to spend your points on a merchandise item in January 2027, then use the remaining points for e-gift cards before they expire.¹

Our Hero for Babies Donor Rewards program was made for generous donors like you! Earn at least 200 points each time you come give blood, up to 6 times within a 365-day period. You’ll even earn points for Power Red and platelet donations! Earn enough points to redeem up to ten (10) e-gift cards throughout the year or save up for one (1) exclusive American Red Cross merchandise item when the store opens January 2027. Points are set to expire the last day of the month in the following year from which they are earned. Everyone who comes to donate will earn points, but you’ll only be able to redeem rewards if you have a RedCrossBlood.org account or a Blood Donor App profile.¹ Learn more >>

Meet Braden Healey

Born at 28 weeks, Braden Healey was a preemie weighing just 3 pounds. He arrived by emergency cesarean section after a traumatic pregnancy. Following delivery, Braden immediately needed blood.

“He received blood from the Red Cross,” said Mike, Braden’s father. “I needed to pay it back with my own blood. I gave blood the next day and have done it 56 times since then.” After becoming a donor, Mike found out he is Cytomegalovirus (CMV) negative. His blood can help babies who are in the neonatal intensive care unit—just like Braden years ago. He shared, “I feel this is now my calling.”
