Pint-Size Hero and Future Blood Donor

The American Red Cross Pint-Size Hero and Future Blood Donor programs offer an opportunity for elementary and middle school students to participate in hosting a lifesaving blood drive. This is a classroom or school activity that is fun, educational and supports the community. A partnership with the Red Cross allows your school to help ensure a safe blood supply for hospital patients. And it helps save lives!

The programs begin with teaching students about how blood is used as medicine and the need for blood donors. Curriculum about blood is included along with an opportunity for an educational presentation by a Red Cross representative. Students will use what they learn to recruit their parents and other adults to donate at your school’s blood drive.
