Volunteers Pump "Life" Into Donorama

Louisville, KY
January 03, 2013
I'm a Volunteer Coordinator for the Louisville Metro Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and I was so proud to see so many of our members stoically and still smilingly helping donors at 6:30 pm - end of the very long day. Louisville ARC/RSVP volunteers (age 55-90's) are so passionate about the mission of the annual Donorama, corporate, school and church blood drives. They really understand the dwindling donor base available and treat each donor with enthusiasm, gratitude and respect for the life-giving donation just received. As an observer and donor, I was proud of the staff and our joint volunteers once again going the extra hours to serve a multi-county medical region.
