Red Cross teams up with Partnership to support local restaurants, help save lives during National Dine Out Week

The American Red Cross today announced a promotional partnership with, the leading provider of restaurant savings nationwide. National Dine Out Week, founded to celebrate dining locally and help save lives, is next week, April 23-29.

Presenting donors at donation centers will receive a $25 gift card to When the gift cards are redeemed on the website, will make an additional financial gift to the Red Cross.

“We’re excited to announce the launch of National Dine Out Week,’s first holiday, dedicated to supporting our own partner restaurants while helping the Red Cross save lives,” said Christopher Krohn, president and chief marketing officer. “We hope to fill nearly 200,000 restaurant tables in local communities nationwide as a result of the efforts of National Dine Out Week.”

In an effort to fill tables and support local restaurants across the country, will also make a donation to the Red Cross every time consumers:

  • purchase a gift card for use at a neighborhood favorite;
  • visit a local restaurant and share their dining experience during National Dine Out Week with;
  • share National Dine Out Week with friends on Facebook;
  • tweet about dining plans during National Dine Out Week using the #dinelocal hashtag; and
  • text "dinelocal" to 78166.

The Dallas-area donation center, located in Farmers Branch at One Medical Parkway, is open Monday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Tulsa donation center, 10151 E. 11th St., is open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
