Bulldog Nation Blood Drop Attempts to Break World Record

April 23, 2010

ATHENS, Ga. - On Monday, April 5, 2010, students and supporters gathered at the University of Georgia football practice field in Athens in hopes of breaking the world record for the most people, wearing red, in the shape of a blood drop.

More than 120 people showed up wearing the University of Georgia school colors to form “The Bulldog Nation Blood Drop.” The current world record stands at 800 people, and while the attempt did not break the record, it did succeed in helping to raise awareness of the constant need for blood throughout northeast Georgia.
