Philadelphia Union Fans Make a Difference at PPL Park

July 27, 2010

On Saturday, July 24th the Philadelphia Union and the American Red Cross teamed up to host a Blood Drive.

Union fans showed their true colors in support of the American Red Cross by donating over 380 units of blood during the first ever event, which could potentially save up to 1,164 lives throughout the region.

As a special thank you, all presenting donors received a commemorative, special edition Union/American Red Cross scarf, along with a tour of the stadium, and picture with the ball Sebastien Le Toux used to score the first goal in the Union’s history.
