KSHE Winter Blood Drive brings in 2,489 units of blood

December 16, 2009
The American Red Cross and KSHE are proud to announce that 2,489 units of blood were collected Nov. 11-12 at the annual KSHE Winter Blood Drive. Because each blood donation can help save up to three lives, 7,467 lives could be impacted by those donations.
The KSHE Drive was held at seven locations in Missouri and Illinois both days. KSHE jocks visited all of the sites to call in reports and greet donors.
Sponsors for the event included Allied Waste, Alton Memorial Hospital, American Equity Mortgage, Argosy Casino, Charter Communications, Erb Equipment Company and Trend Micro.
