Community Members Become Heroes at Triumphant Twelve Event

The American Red Cross and Alma College are joining forces to honor blood, organ and marrow donors at the First Triumphant Twelve Event Wednesday, July 27 at the College.

More than 500 individuals are expected to attend this year’s event which will feature representatives from the Gift of Life Organ Donor Registry, Marrow Donor Registration and the American Cancer Society.  A blood drive will be held in conjunction with the event and all eligible donors are asked to call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit to make an appointment.

“We are excited to offer this unique event to the Alma community,” said Donor Recruitment Representative Bri Baker.  “This is a way for community members to become everyday heroes and for us to honor them for helping to save lives.”

The Triumphant Twelve Event represents the fact that an individual can positively impact up to 12 lives at the event if they donate blood and sign up to be an organ and marrow donor.

The blood drive will be held from 11a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the Alma College Stone Recreation Center
