Position Title
Volunteer Team Leader/Scheduler

Volunteers may perform work from home or at Philadelphia Office

Provide leadership for volunteer involvement in blood services programs

Key Responsibilities

  • Willingness to support Red Cross Mission
  • Assist in recruitment, training, scheduling, support and recognition of volunteers in Blood Services
  • Up-date and maintain records of volunteer services
  • With Senior Managers, develop and implement goals and objectives for volunteers as needed
  • Attend relevant meetings and communicate pertinent information to appropriate persons
  • Serve as liaison between volunteers and staff

Various levels of American Red Cross staff, paid and volunteer


  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • High level leadership and organizational skills
  • Willing to be a creative team member
  • Computer literacy helpful but not required


  • Orientation to American Red Cross Penn-Jersey Blood Services Region
  • American Red Cross Blood Services Training
  • Volunteer Leadership Academy
  • Training updates as required

Length of Appointment
One year. Renewable

Time Commitment
4 – 8 hours/week (determined by number of volunteers and blood drives)
