Registration Volunteer

 
Job Summary: Greet all blood donors upon entry into the blood donation area. Will instruct the donor on blood donations procedure and ensure that all FDA requirements are followed. Work at registration area making sure all donors sign in and get the proper information to proceed. Friendly demeanor is a must. Will answer questions and refer any medical questions to the nursing staff. Nursing staff assistant.
 
Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, Safety, quality, identify, Potency and Purity (SQUIPP) regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other applicable Federal, state and local regulations.
 
Major Responsibilities:
Greet and Register blood donors.
Performs related duties as assigned.
 
Scope: This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory and safety requirements, including but not limited to: Code of Federal Regulations (CFR’s); Investigational New Drug (IND) approval; Local Operating Procedures (LOP’s); Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) Foundation for the Accreditation of Hematopoietic Cell Therapy (FAHCT); and federal, state and local directives.
 
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. (high school students can apply)  Must have experience working in the volunteer recruitment environment. Must be trained on all tasks and policies of volunteer environment. Excellent people skills; must have proven experience interacting positively with other in a variety of setting, showing good judgement, flexibility, and appropriate insight.
