My Dad

My dad was a rare blood type (I can't remember what it was, although I'm A+ while my sister is AB-. Dad's blood type was sufficiently rare that he was asked not to donate without being asked. I'll never forget, as we were watching JFK's funeral ( was 10, my sister 8) that Dad got a call and helped saved a little boy's life. Even at such a young age, I realized how profound that was. Now, when I donate, I feel so close to Dad, and realize how proud he is of me. I wish I could donate more, but I have no vehicle. Can the Red Cross help me with this? I really want to give.
