The first time I gave blood, I was a junior in high school. I always knew it was something I was going to do when I was of age. I was extremely terrified and afraid of needles, but just knowing I could help save lives took away the fear. I went in, gave a pint of blood, and walked out feeling like I made a difference. Not to mention an awesome sticker. Now, I make a goal to give blood at least twice a year.
