As a kid I would often accompany my mom to blood drives. I understood how she was helping others and couldn't wait for the day I was able to donate. When that day came I was a little nervous. Some of my classmates were talking about giving blood for the first time, so I asked if they wanted to go together to support each other. After my first time donating I realized how satisfying it is to know I am saving lives and now I donate as often as I am able.
