It makes me feel needed.

I first gave blood my Senior year of high school, after not meeting the requirements Junior year. Honestly, I looked forward to it because I knew I was doing the right thing. I'm not going to lie, that first time giving blood didn't go so well. I almost fainted and it felt quite discomforting but it was worth knowing that I could save lives. I have O Negative blood and plan on giving blood every 56 days. I've already made my second appointment and plan on doing so for as long as I can. I love the self gratification that comes with giving blood. For the little amount of discomfort that comes with giving blood, it is worth saving those three lives.
