Not only do I feel wonderful about giving blood to those in need, but I know walking out that I did the right thing. Maybe my blood will be the difference between life and death for a child, who has not had the chance to truly experience life yet. Maybe it will save an adult who has children to take care of. Maybe it will save an elderly person who wants to be there to see their grandchildren grow. No matter who it is, I know that it will not hurt me to give blood and that it is my duty to use my strength and compassion to help others. I do not hold it against those who do not give blood. I'm know they have good reasons. That's why I feel it is all the more important to give mine. I walk out of every donation smiling.
