It's an easy way to be a hero

It's a pretty darned easy way to be a hero! I donated five gallons of whole blood before I found out that I have a real high platelet count so I changed to donating platelets, usually three units every two weeks. I made my 100th donation a few months ago. I don't personally know anyone who needs my blood or platelets but I know that there are a lot of good people out there who are in desperate need of them so donating is the most rewarding thing I do.
