I began donating blood because my oldest son in high school had been donating. When he joined the military he could no longer donate. I felt is was time for me to overcome my fear of needles and step up. As my son would be leaving for the military and I would like the peace of mind that if the time ever came there would be a good supply if he needed. After my first donation I decided this was something I would continue to do and encourage others to. My daughters have both donated now also. I encourage everyone to donate. I feel so much better after donating.
