I first gave blood my junior year of high school back in my hometown. I always liked to help people and this was my first chance to give blood, so I jumped at the chance. I missed my bus home, even sprinted after it right after donating. I'm lucky I didn't pass out. My senoir year I donated again, only the staff was kind of inept that year and couldn't find my veins. It eventually worked out, but that time still sticks out as my worst donation yet. Now that I'm in college I here about blood drives much more frequently on my campus. I donated my 3rd time on my birthday, August 29th. Isn't it ironic that the day for me to give was the day when people should give me stuff? I love giving Blood whenever I'm capable, I even opted out of gettting a tattoo because It wouldn't let me give blood at the earliest chance. I'm going on my fourth Donation ASAP so that my blood can go to someone who needs it more.
