I donate because donating runs in the family! My grandfather died during surgery because of a lack of available blood of his type. Ever since, every 56 days my father would come home with the signature bandage and sticker and I couldn't wait to keep the family tradition going. When my mom needed a transfusion during an emergency, it made me feel less powerless. You feel incredible the next morning, there's nothing like it! And now that my brother is 18 we donate together.
