Donating can cause a chain reaction!

I first donated in May '12, and I have always wanted to donate. I was so happy turning 16 knowing that I could start donating in my state. My first donation was at a school donation and it was a great experience. When I went there, I learned that one donation can help save three lives! I think that is awesome considering that I was doing such a simple action, donating blood. After that I couldn't wait to donate again. I became eligible for another donation July 5th, and donated at the closest blood drive day on the 10th. :) The volunteers were surprised that a 16 year old sought out a blood drive in the summer, not trying to get out of class. Donating blood has encouraged me to someday donate to Locks of Love and become an organ donor. Thank you Red Cross! I will be donating again sometime around September 4th!
