I have been donating since I was 17, and have continued till now, 4 years later. I found out last year that I have a rare blood type that babies and cancer patients can receive, and that I am part of the less than 30% of the population that have it, and the 14% of that 30 that actually donate. Donating blood takes so little of my time. I am healthy and strong, and if I can help someone who needs strength, I don't see why I wouldn't want to help.
