How I Saved 3 Lives

Hi, my name is Shell'a. When I was in High School I attempted to donate blood and was declined because my veins were so small. June 5th, 2012 my College was holding a blood drive that my Medical Assistant Class was helping with. As a Volunteer I was very interested in donating. I was walking around helping with fellow donators and seeing how things worked. I really liked the FACT that I could help SAVE 3 Lives by donating my blood. After that I was all in. They attempted to get blood from my right arm but couldn't find a big enough vein. They asked if I wanted to try the other arm and I said yes. I was determined to donate -I am very happy that I donated my blood, I have always had the desire to reach out and help save a life, I not only saved one, but I saved three! -Sincerely, Shell'a S.
