I was diagnosed with liver cancer two weeks before my first birthday. I was always in and out of the hospital with chemotherapy and surgeries. Ever since I was cancer free, which I have been for 18 years now, I always go get an annual check-up. When I was little I was deathly afraid of needles. At my high school they host a blood drive every year in November and April. About my sophomore year, when I was old enough and met the requirements to donate blood, I was a little hesitant about it because I hated needles. But when I heard that I could save three lives it made me think about it. So after thinking I went on with it, and donated. Turns out it wasn't bad at all! Since then I've done every blood drive that I could. I just love the fact that I can save three lives!
