Ryan Corcoran is the Chief Executive Officer of the American Red Cross South Carolina Blood Services Region, headquartered in Columbia, SC. He is responsible for all Red Cross Blood Service activities in the region, including the collection, processing and distribution of blood components to more than 50 regional hospitals and health facilities. Ryan is also a member of the American Red Cross Biomedical Leadership Development Program.
Before joining the SC Region, Ryan served as interim chief operating officer for the Northeast Pennsylvania Blood Services Region.
In 1992, Ryan began his Red Cross career in account management in the Alabama and Central Gulf Coast Blood Services Region and progressed to the national sector, where he was named national hospital accounts manager in 2010.
He is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Master’s of Science in Biology with an Immunology focus and a Bachelor’s of Science in Microbiology.
