Linda Voss

Chief Executive Officer

Linda Voss arrived in the River Valley Region in August 2009.

Prior to joining the River Valley Region, Linda spent several years in marketing, sales, strategy and business development with leading pharma/biotech industries. Her other work experiences include operational leadership as vice president of marketing and business development for Core Dynamics and various marketing and sales positions at CSL Behring, Novartis and Schering-Plough. Linda is returning to the Red Cross, after having spent several years as an executive in hospital and plasma product marketing at national headquarters.

She now leads a staff of more than 300 employees, with headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky.

Linda has an MBA in marketing and finance from Northwestern University and a Master of Science in Parks and Recreation Administration from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.

Born in the Midwest, she has lived in numerous places, including South America. She remains well-connected to her family and lists among her hobbies jogging, reading, and golf, as well as experimenting a bit in the kitchen.

Doug Chin

Board Chair

Doug Chin has been a member of the American Red Cross River Valley Blood Services Region Board of Directors since 2008. He was named Board Chair in June 2012 and previously served as chair of the region’s largest annual special event blood drive.

Chin is a health and safety specialist with Louisville Gas & Electric Company. Chin, who is a native of Louisville, Kentucky, holds an associate’s degree in Hazard Control Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Health Science from Indiana University. He is also a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.

In addition to his work with the River Valley Blood Services Region, Chin is an active supporter of Junior Achievement and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.

Claire Meena-Leist, M.D.

Medical Director

Dr. Meena-Leist is the medical director for the River Valley and Tennessee Valley Blood Services Regions. She also serves as medical director and director of clinical services for the IndianaOhio Blood Services Region. Dr. Meena-Leist is an active member of AABB and ISABB. She is an adjunct associate professor and lecturer at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and adjunct assistant clinical professor at Vanderbilt University. She has served on the Medical Council for the national American Red Cross Biomedical Services. She received her M.D. from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Ky.
