Red Cross Racing Welcomes New Team Member
Tony Stewart Joins Greg Biffle in the Race Where Everyone Wins
The American Red Cross welcomes two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™ champion Tony Stewart to the Red Cross Racing team. Stewart joins fellow NASCAR driver and American Red Cross spokesperson Greg Biffle, who is excited to team up with his fellow competitor to raise awareness for the ongoing need for blood and to join the race where everyone wins.
Stewart generously agreed to lend his voice to a public service announcement promoting Red Cross Racing, a donor rewards program designed to increase the number of blood donors and the number of times they give blood.
Stewart drives the No. 14 Office Depot/Old Spice Chevrolet Impala in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for his own team, Stewart-Haas Racing. He has built a large and loyal fan base during his career, which includes 37 career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victories to date.
The Red Cross thanks Stewart, Stewart-Haas Racing and Office Depot for joining our team.
Red Cross Racing participants accrue points for a variety of activities, including giving blood and/or platelets and recruiting other blood donors. Those points may be exchanged for prizes such as duffle bags, gardening sets, laptop computer holders and other exciting merchandise.
And, recently launched, the American Red Cross, Biffle and Stewart are proud to offer you one more way to show your patriotism by giving you the chance to donate your Red Cross Racing points back to the Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces (SAF). Your donated points will help the Red Cross provide services, programs and goods to our troops and their families. Our 7,000 SAF volunteers and staff offer resources like emergency communications, support for wounded warrior programs, hospital outreach, veterans programs and assistance for families coping with the stress of deployment. Your points will help your Red Cross provide even more comfort and support to our troops and their families.
For your convenience, you may now schedule blood donation appointments online at redcrossracing.com. You may also call 1-800-RED CROSS.
Donors may subscribe to Red Cross texting by sending redcross to 42227 or registering online at redcrossblood.org. Follow us on Twitter @RedCrossRacing.
