Red Cross invites Gator and Bulldog fans to give blood during the Florida vs. Georgia Rematch Blood Drive
SAVANNAH, Ga. – When it comes to football, do you bleed Bulldog “red and black” or Gator “orange and blue?” Prove your team loyalty by giving blood at the Florida vs. Georgia Rematch Blood Drive on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Savannah blood donation center. The American Red Cross blood drive is sponsored by WTOC 11, the Savannah Chapter of the University of Georgia Alumni Association and the University of Florida Savannah Gator Club.
The Florida Gators may have won this year’s game, but only you can help your team win the rematch! When you give blood, your favorite team earns points based on the type of donation. The team with the most points is named “winner” of the 2009 Florida vs. Georgia Rematch Blood Drive.
Presenting blood and platelet donors at the Florida vs. Georgia Rematch Blood Drive will receive a holiday ornament and will have an opportunity to win one of three pairs of roundtrip Delta Air Lines domestic tickets. Food from the Texas Roadhouse will be provided for presenting donors between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., while supplies last.
