The eighth annual Palace Blood Drive in Auburn Hills was quite a success.  This year, all-time record of 412 units of blood were donated.

Held since 2002, the Palace Blood Drive was organized to provide an opportunity for individuals to commemorate the anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks and, at the same time, to help build the community blood supply.

To encourage donors the American Red Cross partnered with WOMC-FM in a vacation ticket giveaway, courtesy of Spirit Airlines. All presenting donors at the Palace Drive were elligible to will 2 tickets to anywhere in the contiguous USA.  Other gifts included: Four tickets to a pre-season Pistons game, Detroit Shock tickets, Sports memorabilia, and $10 Andiamo gift cards.

This year's winner of the Spirit Airlines tickets is a woman from Davisburg, Michigan, named Diana Hill.  Diana has been a generous donor for many years and a fantastic supporter of the American Red Cross.  Congratulations Diana, and have fun!
