FOR IMMMEDIATE RELEASE: Dec. 29, 2010

Columbia, S.C.—The American Red Cross invites you to kick off 2011 in a meaningful way: Give the gift of life to patients in need by donating blood.

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. During the winter months, the blood supply often suffers, but the need for blood is constant. Therefore, the Red Cross is encouraging donors to start the year off right by helping make sure the blood supply remains at an adequate level.
