“Taco Bell Tuesdays”
Local Taco Bell franchisee provides incentive to blood and platelet donors
Columbia, S.C.—Have you tried the new Nacho Cheese Doritos® Locos Tacos from Taco Bell? Here’s your chance to try it for free.
In an effort to help boost area blood donations, the American Red Cross South Carolina Blood Services Region is partnering with Taco Bell for “Taco Bell Tuesdays” the last two weeks of April. Fred Kotoske, the local Taco Bell franchisee, is offering a $10 Taco Bell coupon to anyone who presents to donate blood or platelets Tuesday, April 17, or Tuesday, April 24, at the Columbia donation center, 2751 Bull St. The coupons can be used at participating Midlands Taco Bell locations.
Please give blood or platelets as soon as you can and encourage a friend or neighbor to give, too. Donors are asked to call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to schedule an appointment.

Monday: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Tuesday: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Wednesday: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Thursday: 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Friday: 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Saturday: 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Platelet donation hours:
Sunday: 6 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Monday: 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Tuesday: 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Wednesday: 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Thursday: 6 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Friday: 6 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Saturday: 6 a.m. - 1 p.m.
The American Red Cross South Carolina Blood Services Region provides lifesaving blood to patients in 54 hospitals, and approximately 500 people need to give blood or platelets each week day to meet regional hospital demand. Blood is used for the treatment of cancer patients, people with blood disorders, premature babies, transplant recipients, trauma victims and more. Each whole blood donation can help save up to three lives.
