The Philadelphia Phillies Organization and Fans Make a Difference

Penn-Jersey Blood Services Region

April 8, 2010

On Tuesday, March 30, 2010 the Philadelphia Phillies and the American Red Cross teamed up to host their Annual Phillies Paint the Town Red Week Blood Drive.

Members of the Phillies organization and fans showed their true colors in support of the American Red Cross by donating over 260 units of blood during the annual event, which could potentially save up to 780 lives throughout the Region.

All presenting blood donors received a gift bag filled with great Phillies gear and had the opportunity to have their pictures taken with the 2009 National League Championship trophy and the 2008 World Series trophy.  One lucky donor also won a pair of tickets to this year’s 2010 Phillies Home opener against the Washington Nationals.
