American Red Cross Recognizes Atlantic City Hotel and Casino Efforts for 2010 Blood Donor Campaign

The American Red Cross and Harrah’s Atlantic City teamed up on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 to host the 5th Annual Atlantic City Casino Blood Donor Campaign awards reception.

The event honored and recognized the life-saving efforts by casinos throughout Atlantic City during the 2010 Atlantic City Casino Blood Donor Campaign.

In 2010 Atlantic City Casino blood donors contributed more than 4,100 units of blood.  This included 454 first time blood donors and 2,214 Type “O” donors.  This translated to approximately 12,400 potential lives that have been saved this year alone by the casinos' efforts.
