Dark Shadows' Film Brings Need for Blood to Light
Tuesday, April 26, 2012 CLEVELAND, OH — Vampire Barnabas Collins may be condemned to the shadows for eternity, but the American Red Cross and the gothic comedy film “Dark Shadows” are teaming up to bring to light the constant need for blood. Before “Dark Shadows” hits theaters May 11, blood donors are invited to join the Red Cross and help save lives. The Red Cross is partnering with Warner Brothers on the release of “Dark Shadows”, starring Johnny Depp, to raise awareness about the ongoing need for blood donation and to reward our donors with a once in a lifetime movie premiere experience!
IN CLEVELAND on Monday, April 30th from 2PM-7PM at the Lakewood Women’s Pavilion and Tuesday, May 7th from 2PM-7PM at The Cleveland Heights Community Center, all presenting blood donors at participating blood drives will receive a “Dark Shadows” themed donor sticker and be entered for a chance to win a private hometown screening of the film for up to 50 of their closest friends and family. Official movie posters and other movie themed items will be provided to secondary prize winners. Blood donors will also have the chance to win other “Dark Shadows” merchandise and tickets to the Cleveland Advanced Screening.
