Sonoma Raceway Rolls Out 13th Annual High Speed Blood Drive
Community members and race fans alike can enjoy the ride of a lifetime and help save lives during the 13th annual High Speed Blood Drive at Sonoma Raceway on Monday, April 29.
The raceway will partner with the American Red Cross on this one-of-a-kind blood drive, which will be held from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Sonoma Raceway. Since 2001, the High Speed Blood Drive has collected more than 1,000 pints of blood for patients in need.
In true high-speed fashion, the raceway will put its own “spin” on the traditional blood drive, as donors can get their hearts pumping with a high-speed “hot lap” around the 12-turn road course before giving blood. Donors will ride along with a professional instructor.
- Schedule your appointment now
or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission), meet height and weight requirements (at least 110 pounds based on height) and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. All donors must bring a valid photo ID.
