Pleasant Hill Center Stopping its Sunday Blood Collection

Northern California Blood Services Region

June 17, 2013

Effective July 1, 2012, the Pleasant Hill Blood Donation Center no longer will collect whole blood or double red cell donations on Sundays. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please note, the center will continue to collect platelets – by appointment only – on Sundays. And the hours of operation for the remaining days of the week will stay unchanged.

Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission), meet height and weight requirements (at least 110 pounds based on height) and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. Call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to schedule an appointment to donate blood. You can also make an appointment online.
