Interfaith Community Blood Drive a Success

Congratulations and thank you Interfaith Community.
Your hard work and dedication in organizing a month-long blood drive resulted in 3,827 units of blood for sick and injured people in need.
In July, more than a dozen different faith-based groups joined the American Red Cross Northern California Blood Services Region to hold the second annual Interfaith Community Blood Drive. Comprised of nearly 80 individual blood drives, this year’s event more than doubled the amount of lifesaving blood that was collected during the inaugural drive in July 2011. The Interfaith Community Blood Drive is the largest single blood drive held in the Northern California Blood Services Region and is believed to be the largest faith-based blood drive in the national organization’s history.
