Congratulations and Thank You, Interfaith Community

Northern California Blood Services Region

This past July, multiple faith-based groups joined the American Red Cross Northern California Blood Services Region to hold the third annual Interfaith Community Blood Drive.

Comprised of 42 individual blood drives, this year’s month-long event collected nearly 1,800 pints of blood for patients in need. The Interfaith Community Blood Drive has collected a total of 7,293 pints of blood over the past three years and is the largest single blood drive held by the Red Cross in the Northern California Region.

On behalf of patients in need of lifesaving blood, the Red Cross extends its sincere gratitude to the individual blood donors, volunteers and the following blood drive sponsors and organizers who helped to make this blood drive a success:

The Interfaith Community Blood Drive is held each year in July, but there is a year-round need for blood. Please follow the lead of the Interfaith Community and schedule an appointment to donate blood sometime in the coming weeks.

Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission), meet height and weight requirements (at least 110 pounds based on height) and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. To schedule an appointment or for more information, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). Appointments also can be made online.
