ST. LOUIS (June 4, 2014) — The St. Louis Cardinals, Fox Sports Midwest and the American Red Cross encourage fans to step up to the plate and donate blood to help patients in need. The Cardinals and the Red Cross will join forces to help save lives on June 18 and 19 at various locations around the St. Louis metro area. Everyone who attempts to donate will receive a specially designed St. Louis Cardinals T-shirt, while supplies last.

“To be a hero off the field, we need to pitch in and support our community,” said Joe Kelly, pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals. “You can give a patient in need a fighting chance by stepping up to the plate and giving blood.”
