The St. Louis Blues and the American Red Cross Team Up To Help Save Lives Jan. 17

ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Blues and American Red Cross will join forces for the annual St. Louis Blues American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, January 17. The drive will be held from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the following locations:

 

  • St. Louis Mills Mall
  • The Pointe at Ballwin Commons
  • Calvary Church in St. Peters
  • Hilton Hotel in O’Fallon, IL
  • Meramec Arnold Elks Club in Imperial
  • Collinsville Gateway Center
  • St. Paul UCC in Waterloo
  • Centennial Commons in U-City

                                                

The Red Cross hopes to collect about 530 units of blood at eight locations. St. Louis Blues Defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk and Fox Sports Midwest broadcaster John Kelly are helping to promote the need for blood, and encouraging fans to participate in this year’s St. Louis Blues American Red Cross Blood Drive.

 

Everyone who attempts to donate will receive a specially designed St. Louis Blues and American Red Cross T-shirt (shown left) while supplies last, and be entered into a drawing for other Blues prizes, including game tickets and memorabilia.

 

“We are very proud to partner with the St. Louis Blues for this event,” American Red Cross Missouri-Illinois Blood Services Region CEO Scott Caswell said. “They are having an impressive season on the ice but even more important is their impact on our community and the people in our region that need assistance.”

 

To donate blood, a person must be in good health, be at least 17 years old (16 years old with a Red Cross parental consent form) and meet height and weight requirements. Blood donors should bring a Red Cross donor card, valid driver’s license with a photo, or other form of official picture identification.
